I've heard and skim loads of very good points about Savages, but I'd go along with a single of those Other people very first.The Montana will be the nicest carrying rifle I have - rivaled only by previous tang protection Ruger Ultralight. It shoulders and points quite properly. I just returned from 6 months of elk hunting in Idaho and Montana.Defin
